As Paltrow guides us to her kitchen, we’re met by a light and ethereal space staged by Portuguese tiles for a classic blue-and-white Mediterranean feel that’s complemented by an open display of fine blue-and-white dishes from Moda Operandi and Rebecca de Ravenel.
The idea for the kitchen is an open space that still encourages socializing. To keep that theme, Paltrow and the Romanek Design team decided on centering the pro-style range for maximum interaction while preparing meals.
Ample cabinetry plays on the open feel of the space, and the glass doors provide a beautiful stage for all of Paltrow’s collectibles. It also serves as a foil to the expansive glass doors with custom bronze finishes that offers a view into nature, a subtle nod to Paltrow’s affinity for a healthy lifestyle.
Other highlights include a fireplace with fluted details, white countertops, and herringbone floors that come together for a space full of interesting texture both modern and traditional.
Exploring Monogram Refrigeration
The first Monogram appliance Paltrow highlights is also her favorite—a 30” wine sommelier with a glass front door that strategically matches the kitchen cabinetry. Looks aside, our host reveals why this wine cabinet is so great: dual zones to keep different wine types stored at the right temperatures; a convertible lower drawer to keep all her charcuterie goods at the ready; a built-in ice maker for other beverages or a champagne bucket.

What Does Gwen Cook With?
Paltrow shows off her cooking dexterity by cooking up shakshuka inside a Monogram 30” hearth oven.
